Welcome to Module 4!
In Module 4, we turn to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). While we will be unable to touch on every aspect of CSR in one module (CSR is a very broad area), the relationship between CSR and business ethics should be clear: CSR requires organizations to assume responsibility for what they do. CSR relates to the corporate conscience, it is corporate citizenship. In short, to the extent that organizations are to have authority to do what they do, they must actively assume responsibility as well – the two must go hand-in-hand. In the Background Information section of this module, we'll look more closely at the relationship between CSR and business ethics.
In the Session Long Project, we will explore academic honesty, or plagiarism. In the SLP, we'll complete a tutorial, discuss how plagiarism is defined, and how plagiarism may be avoided.
