Clear Pockets, Dividers and Document Protectors...
Organization is a key to success. To be successful (get a high score) on the portfolio it must be neat and organized. Instructors grade hundreds of portfolios every quarter, and this endeavor could take countless hours if students are permitted to express their own sense of organization on the portfolios. Document protectors prevent quick access to previously submitted materials and written comments, and their displacement complicates accessibility.
- All portfolios must consist of a standard white, three-ring binder, with clear/transparent insert pockets on the front, back, and spine.
- The original grade/check-list sheet first with name block completed.
- Seven tab dividers appropriately-labeled for the sections listed on the grade sheet
- Include ALL previous Grade Sheets, work journals, goal statements, and other documentation.
- All documents are hole-punched and secured in the appropriate section of the binder.
- There should be NO loose items in the portfolio, and NO document protectors
- All student-produced documents must be typed or word processed using a standard 10 or 12 point, black business font (Arial, Helvetica, or Times New Roman) and include the appropriate heading information (name of document, student name, current quarter and date
